Q: What was the inspiration behind "Stars?"
A: Everything started with the vocal sample and the atmosphere that it had. I really liked the way in which the voice is whispering in your ear and causing goosebumps instantly. In that moment I already had an idea of the vibe that the track should provide and just began to experiment in that direction. I wanted to try out something different than just pure EDM. The combination of hiphop and trap in this production gave the sound the identity that it needed and I was really happy with it from the beginning on.“
Q: Is there a particular vibe you were going for when creating this track?
A: "I wanted the song to have a kind of urban/futuristic vibe. The trap and hip hop elements helped me to fulfill my own expectations on this track. Mainly I was trying to create a moody track that people can identify with in different situations. I wanted "Stars“ to sound timeless in a special way…“
Q: What sample did you use to help bring "Stars" to life?
A: "The vocal sample definitely gave "Stars“ the vibe that it deserved. It makes you forget everything else around you and lose yourself in the music. That is also what the lyrics are about and together, it creates the symbiosis that I was aiming for."
Q: How long did it take you to create this track?
A: "Actually it didn’t take that long. After finding the vocal sample the song was pretty much finished within a half day."
Q: What is something you want people to take away from this track after hearing it?
A: "As I said I mainly want people to think about nothing but their own thoughts that come to their mind when listening to "Stars.“ I can tell from my perspective that I just lose myself in the futuristic vibe of the track and forget about everyday problems when listening to it."
Q: Will there be a visual for "Stars?"
A: "Yes, there will be a music video upcoming by the end of February, start of March. I’m really looking forward to it and hope that I can fulfill the expectations."
